Has anywell known singer ever pledged to donate all of the proceeds from a single release to charity?

I was listening to the song 'Price Tag' by Jessie James and it got me
thinking. If she really means what she is singing about then why
didn't she pledge to donate proceeds raised to charity. It would have
probably reached a higher place in the charts by selling more copies
and it would have been great for PR, and it would have helped somebody
out.

Has any relatively well known singer ever pledged to donate proceeds
from their single/album to charity BEFORE releasing it and seeing how
popular it would become? (some people release a song, realise it will
sell and then donate some of their profits)
Singles on first release only - not a rereleased single for Christmas
or something
